As another year is swiftly coming to a close We hope and pray that our love for the Lord shows— To all those in need of Christ’s love and forgiveness, And to those needing comfort from His Word and in His nearness. We thank you, this church, for the opportunity to serve another year, For each one of you hold a special place in our hearts, so dear, For this year’s accomplishments, goals met and services supplied, On God’s help, your love and encouragement we’ve relied. God’s family here shares a common love, our hopes and dreams, For our lives here on earth are so brief, it seems. We’re grateful for the wonderful way the Lord has blessed us And for strength to endure the temptations and hardships that beset us.
As we close this year and , if it is God’s will, look forward to the next, Let’s be sure we all keep our eyes on the Text For God’s Word must always be our guide So that we all can in the Rock of Ages abide.
