Father’s day was a wonderful time for the congregation. It was amazing seeing all the new faces and guests of the congregation. It was a full house of 204 people, with multitudes of families gone for various reasons. Father’s day is a special time for the family.
As most of you know, Father’s day is extra special for me. It seems that the blessings of this day have multiplied with time. I have always been thankful for having a great father throughout my life. He has been a wonderful influence. I miss not seeing him every day. Also, on the last Father’s day, little baby Noah was born. It is a memory I will never forget about preaching that morning and telling the congregation that I had to keep my cell phone on because Charity could go into labor at any moment. I warned the congregation that the sermon might be cut short. In fact, I arrived home at 11:15am and Noah was born at 12:15pm. He was truly the best Father’s day gift that a man could hope for. Also, on Father’s day was the first Sunday that I officially began my work with the Waynesboro congregation. I always try to remember this day because of my love for the congregation.
Charity and I are overjoyed to celebrate four wonderful and amazing years in working with the Waynesboro congregation. We have always felt wanted and appreciated. Ministry is beautiful because you are a beautiful people of God. We appreciate the love, kindness, help, encouragement, support, and patience that we have received in abundance from the congregation. We would like to thank everyone for making ministry here amazing. There is no place we would rather be than in Waynesboro working with this super congregation. Thank you for having us for four wonderful years.
