A pasted message from Matthew!

There are some congregations in the church that seem to be consistently in conflict with the minister. It seems that there is a perpetuate war between the minister and the congregation or the congregation and the minister. In some churches, there is a mindset of people never being happy with the minister they have. On the other hand, there is the attitude of the minister not being happy with the congregation. Fortunately, to the best of my ability to tell, there is a great peace between the congregation and the minister. Because of this peace, there is a great sense of fulfillment and joy from working with the congregation. Everyday Charity and I feel blessed to be the minister to this congregation.
Every year I am thankful for the minister’s bonus at the end of the year. The gift is always deeply appreciated. It is the special money that seems to feel like a windfall. With Charity and I going to Canada for the Holiday season, it will be a great help with the costs. It has been about six years we have been to Canada for Christmas. It has been about three years since we have been home to Nova Scotia. I plan on buying some extra lobster with the money. I am going to eat seafood and drink coffee at Tim Horton. Also, while we are up there I will be preaching for the local church. This always brings back happy memorizes because it was the place of my first sermon. It was suppose to be 30 minutes, but I talked so fast it was more like five minutes. Going to preach at home reminds me of how far I have come in ten years. It is certainly my hope that someday we have a mission trip to this part of the world so that a lot of the members here would have the honor of going to see where I grew up.
This holiday season the Morine family wishes everyone the best. We hope that it will be filled with joy and peace. This is a time of giving to others. It is a time with family and friends. Thank you from the Morine family for allowing us to minister among you.
