It was an amazing weekend in the mountains. Not the mountains of East Tennessee, but the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. It was an honor in seeing Pike’s Peak. In fact, I saw the spot which was the inspiration for the song “America the Beautiful.” Now the song has increased meaning for me. It is certainly wonderful that the congregation allows me to periodically travel on behalf of the Gospel to various locations to preach the Word. I appreciate the congregation while I am gone.

Pictures for the new church directory are coming up next week. On Monday the 22nd and Tuesday the 23rd, the photographer from Olan Mills will be here. We need everyone to participate in this work. We need your pictures in the directory. Please made sure you come to your appointment because it will be difficult to reschedule you later. As far as I know, almost every appointment is taken. But if you are not on the schedule yet, I am sure we can get you in. We want everyone in the directory.

The big highlight trip of the year is just around the corner. Everyone knows about this trip. We are going to see the Nashville Predators play the Panthers. This trip will include leaving at 3:30 and stopping at Cool Springs for supper. Then we will go to the game. I just got the tickets today and we have great seats, even better than last year. This is my favorite trip of the year. We have a ton of people coming this year. Also, if you plan on riding on the church van, please let me know. I have to make sure I have room for everyone. I will be passing out the tickets to everyone that is planning on driving themselves up.

There is so many great works happening at the congregation. We appreciate everyone getting involved in the work. Keep up the great work. We need you. We are winning this community to Christ through you.
