The place was packed. The parking lot was packed. The auditorium was packed. And most importantly our hearts were packed with the Gospel message. We had a goal for the friend and family day. We had a mission to complete for the event. It was to pack this building full. And we won. We accomplished the mission and objective. Everyone should be proud of themselves for the work that we did for this day. The ladies in the congregation cooked a fantastic meal. We fed an army. People were friendly to everyone. And Barry England preached an appropriate lesson that reminded us of importance of friends and family in life. We were all blessed by this day. It feels great to have a wonderful win in the congregation. We all planned for a large number and we set a new all time record in attendance for Friends and Family Day. We had 292. We could not have asked for a better turn out. We met our goal.

In fact, we are winning all the time. The congregation is active with great works for the Lord. We are serving this community and helping one another. We are focusing on family and marriages. We are becoming disciples of Christ, which is the most important work of the church. As the congregation grows in good works, we need people to grow in Christ.
The gospel meeting was a great success. We had a ton of visitors with us wanting to hear the gospel preached. Barry did a magnificent job in encouraging and inspiring the congregation to life for Christ. We will all have a heart for Jesus after this week. I personally thank everyone for supporting this meeting.

Hockey is right around the corner. We are going to the hockey game on October 27th. We will see the Predators play. This is a great yearly event. Once again we have a huge number of people coming to the game. It is always a fun time for everyone.

It is great to be involved in a congregation that is focused on the gospel and the work of the gospel. We are all blessed to be members of the Waynesboro church of Christ.
