Charity and I had a wonderful vacation. It was nice having the parents down for a week. It was almost a whole year since we saw them last. I know they enjoyed seeing baby Noah for the first time and seeing Gabrielle again. Charity and I appreciate the congregation and the elders for providing time for us to relax and rejuvenate. After a vacation, I am always ready to dive back into the work of the Lord.

Speaking of works, we have many works ahead of us. First of all, we have Friends and Family day soon approaching. This is also the beginning of the Gospel Meeting with Barry England. Everyone needs to be inviting friends and family to this great event. We will have a huge meal following the morning worship time and will begin singing at 1:00pm with Barry preaching again at 1:30pm. Here are three simple steps to help you inviting others.

1.Pray about the people you want to invite.

2.Make a special invitation to these people.

3.Follow up on your guests and help with any details about coming.

Make as many invitations as possible. The more people you ask the more people will have the opportunity to say “yes”. So ask, ask, and ask some more. We want to aim for the 300 hundred mark.

Also, we are going to be starting sign-ups for the new picture directory. This is a great opportunity. We will all receive a new directory of updated pictures and pictures of new members to our church family. Also, everyone will get a free 8x10 family portrait. Everyone needs to sign up and show up for the family pictures.

There is certainly a lot of activity going on at church. We need everyone to find a place to belong. We need to be serving Christ as we serve one another.
