We had another amazing week at Waynesboro church of Christ. It is motivating to see the attendance at 192. We have a lot of people attending services and making the commitment to worship the Lord on Sunday morning. Your attendance influences this congregation more than you realize. People get excited when the attendance is up and people get discouraged when the attendance is down. People are watching you. If you do not make an effort to be with us on Sunday morning, other people will not make the effort. Your participation is valuable and needed for the growth and development of the Waynesboro church of Christ. You cannot make other people come to worship but you can influence people in a positive way. When you are sitting in the pew during worship, you are setting an example for others in the congregation and community.

The friends and family day is quickly approaching. This is the beginning of the Gospel Meeting with Barry England. I have spoken with him and he has promised to preach an encouraging and uplifting message for the friends and family day. The last few special days we had around 285, but this year I know we can have over 300 people. This will be great. We need everyone inviting friends and family for October 7th.

This Saturday Mitchell is taking a group to youth days. This will be a great trip. Parents make sure your children are signed up to go. We all need to make it a priority to have are children attending events that will exult Christ. We run our children to all the basketball, football, soccer, and gymnastic events, but sometimes we do not make spiritual events a priority. There is nothing wrong with attending the sport events, as long as we are making spiritual events too.

These are just a few of the positive happenings at the congregation. There are numerous events planned for the future. Continue to be praying for one another and for this congregation. This congregation is here to make this community a better place.
