We had another positive week at Waynesboro church of Christ. Did you see the Sunday morning attendance at 190? It was great for all the guests to be with us and it was wonderful for all the members to be at worship. Everyone was edified. Also, thank you to everyone for signing up to help in the nursery. As the congregation grows in size, we need a nursery fully staffed. We want the best conditions possible to worship the Lord. Also, this is a family friendly church, and this does not just mean families with two parents. We care about families with single mothers or fathers. These people need help with the young ones during the worship hour. We are reaching out to these members of the community.

Mitchell is doing a great job with the CSI: Waynesboro after school ministry. We are having over 70 kids from the community come and participate with this work. The numbers seem to be growing also. This is a great ministry that the congregation has established. Mitchell has great vision for this congregation. We also appreciate all the members of the congregation that have served this ministry.

Also, we will be starting a new marriage class on DVD in the first Wednesday night in September. The class will run into December. The class is for the congregation as well as the community. So if you know of anyone who would enjoy a class to strengthen their marriage, please invite them. The class will begin on September 5th. Some of the topics will include the servant heart, affair proofing your marriage, please listen to me, troubled expectations, trouble in paradise, and loving your mate through the seasons of life. This DVD course is taught by Jerry and Lynn Jones who are two experts on the topic of marriage. Please make a point of being with us and invite your friends.

Do not forget the up and coming Predators game. I need to reserve some tickets by September 5th, so sign up by then. I do not need the money, but if you want to go, you have to let me know by then. It will be a great time.
