We had another fantastic week at the congregation. In the last few weeks, there have been a ton of baptisms. We are so proud of everyone for dedicating their life to Christ. We rejoice with Denise, Jeremi, and Donald as they have all put on the Lord Jesus. Galatians 3:27 says “For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” As a congregation, we have the obligation and duty to help these people grow in Christ. This week be thinking of ways that you can encourage and edify them in the Lord.

The CSI: Waynesboro was a huge success. There seemed to be like 100 hundred young people running around the fellowship center. There were numerous volunteers. Everyone is so important in this ministry. We need all the help we can get. Mitchell has done a wonderful job in organizing and promoting this good work. Also, a lot of the young people attended Bible class after CSI. We had a record Wednesday night attendance. One of the deacons told me that you would have to go back over 10 to 15 years to see a Wednesday night that high.

Also, we will be starting a new marriage class on DVD in the first Wednesday night in September. The class will run into December. The class is for the congregation as well as the community. So if you know of anyone who would enjoy a class to strengthen their marriage, please invite them. The class will begin on September 5th. Some of the topics will include the servant heart, affair proofing your marriage, please listen to me, troubled expectations, trouble in paradise, and loving your mate through the seasons of life. This DVD course is taught by Jerry and Lynn Jones who are two experts on the topic of marriage. Please make a point of being with us and invite your friends.

The elders have been fervently praying for the congregation, the deacons have been providing service, the members have been highly involved, and we see the positive results. The congregation is increasing, glorifying, and growing in Christ.
