Mitchell Skelton our new Family Life Minister preached a great lesson about not making youth an excuse. The lesson was needed and motivational. We are thankful that he is with us now. Also, please be praying and preparing to help with CSI: WAYNESBORO. This will be a needed after school program for the community. In this program we will be able to make a positive difference in this town. We need support and workers. If you can help in any way possible, please let Mitchell know.

Also, we will be starting a new marriage class on DVD in the first Wednesday night in September. The class will run into December. The class is for the congregation as well as the community. So if you know of anyone who would enjoy a class to strengthen their marriage, please invite them. The class will begin on September 5th. Some of the topics will include the servant heart, affair proofing your marriage, please listen to me, troubled expectations, trouble in paradise, and loving your mate through the seasons of life. This DVD course is taught by Jerry and Lynn Jones who are two experts on the topic of marriage. Please make a point of being with us and invite your friends.

There is another great class that has been started. It is Christianity 201: The Life of Christ. This class will be great. It is a practical class dealing with the Life of Christ with a special emphasis on becoming more Christ-Like. Please be there and be blessed.

Sunday morning we had a great crowd of 196 people. It was great to see everyone. It was encouraging to see so many of the elders, deacons, and members walking around to greet our guests. We have a ton of new people in the congregation with kids. We are a kid friendly church.
