Once again Vacation Bible School was a homerun. We had a great time with all the young people. The Waynesboro church of Christ is the best at putting on a VBS in this town. Everyone deserves a pat on the back for all the hard work that went into this endeavor. You all should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

The theme of “Biblical Heroes” was wonderful. It was a great idea. All of the plays were fantastic. And did you see that fire place? It looked completely real. There was so many hours given to this work for it to be a success every year. Everyone did a great job. All the teachers, craft makers, snack makers, game players, actors, actresses, and most of all the children for making VBS special every year. It is all about the young people. There is such joy in watching their little faces light up in seeing the scenes.

VBS is a ton of work every year. Everyone gives so much of their time to this cause, but it is all worth it when the children arrive. Thank you for your service to the community. Thank you for your dedication to this congregation. Thank you for making Christ a focal point in your life. Service can be taxing and difficult but the end result is always joy and peace of knowing you have given to the Lord. The Lord never disappoints.

On a side note, Christianity 201 is arriving on August 5th. This class will deal with the life of Christ. It will deal with who he is, what he did, and what he calls us to be. We will learn to become more Christ-like in life. This is the point of Christianity—learning to become a better follower of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The class will cover the book of Mark. This is the shortest of the Gospel accounts, but flows quickly with excitement and energy. Make every attempt to be in this great class and I promise that you will be blessed.
