Christian doctrine is important. The Christianity 101 class has finished. This was a great class that taught some of the basics of Christianity. Everyone should be congratulated on attending this class. Everyone is also encouraged to continue to attend Bible classes on Sunday morning. Bible study is so important to the growth of the Christian. One needs to get into the Bible to change as a person for the better. Everyone needs that contact with the inspired scriptures for transformation. Find a good class and continue to study the word of God.
Baptism is an important Christian doctrine. It is a doctrine that some people do not understand fully. It is also a doctrine that people have misunderstandings about. On April 15th, I will be starting a series of four lessons about the need, the purpose, and the power in baptism. These lessons are aimed at those who have not submitted to baptism. To be up front with everyone, I am preaching these lessons to those who need to be baptized for the remission of sins. Though these lessons are aimed at the un-baptized, those who are baptized will also benefit from these lessons. These lessons will expand your understanding of this Bible truth, develop your conviction in the need to be baptized, help you explain and teach about baptism to others, and see baptism in a new light.
Everyone needs to be at services for these lessons. You need to be inviting family members and neighbors to hear these lessons. The first lesson will deal with the baptism of Jesus, the second and third lessons will come from accounts of conversion in the book of Acts, and the fourth lesson will be from Romans 6. Baptism is a great Christian truth that we should all know.
One of the reasons that the Waynesboro church of Christ is a great place is because of our desire to teach the truth. Truth is what sets us free. We desire to follow the Bible only, and do whatever the Bible declares.
