Ira North coined the phrase “Marching for the Master.” The Waynesboro church of Christ is on the march. The momentum is with us now. We have been having baptisms, a large number of guests, successful Bible classes, and growth. At church we have the goal of developing faith in people. It is the desire of the elders, deacons, and minister to see people grow in trust, love, and commitment to the Lord Jesus. All that we do is to promote being stronger Christians.
Once again, thank you for the good comments on the sermon about marriage. Your comments are always encouraging and humorous. It is enjoyable to hear the reactions to the lessons. Remember that this week I am preaching on “What Will Kill a Marriage.” This lesson will help you to identify some bad habits that can be destructive to a marriage. Keep on inviting your friends and family to hear the lessons. You have been doing this and our attendance was 176 last week. Keep up the good work.
The Waynesboro church of Christ is a great place to serve the Lord. Unlike some congregations, Waynesboro is concerned about engaging the world with the Gospel. We recognize the need to spread the gospel to the lost. Some people or congregations may be content with simply having services and going home. But this is not what God called us to. God instructed us to reach out to the Lost. This was the mission of Christ: “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10).
We want to turn habit into hunger. We want to save the lost, strengthen the weak, empower the strong for Christ. If you are someone who loves the Lord, wants to be involved in the ministry, and is not just content to show up to a building on Sunday, we have a place for you. Truly, the Waynesboro church of Christ is on the “March for the Master.” Come and march with us all the way to heaven.
